Co-Founder & CEO, Kineon Labs

Forrest Smith is the co-founder and CEO of Kineon Labs. A dynamic entrepreneur with a 20-year track record of creating and scaling successful technology hardware startups, Forrest brings deep expertise in health and wellness innovation, global manufacturing, and Asian market development.

An avid athlete and sports enthusiast, Forrest's direct experience with sports injuries and recovery was the catalyst behind the MOVE+ Pro — Kineon's FDA 510(k) cleared wearable photobiomodulation device. He competes in rugby and CrossFit, and his personal relationship with pain management shapes Kineon's product philosophy: evidence-based, results-driven, accessible at home.

From the age of 14, Forrest cultivated a deep fascination with Chinese culture and language, eventually achieving full fluency and spending 18 years building successful enterprises across Asia. He founded and led Source Pro Asia, August Vale, and Illumitron — the latter acquired by Wilway Holdings and Cooper Lighting, a Fortune 500 subsidiary. His earlier career included Director of Asian Operations for a Fortune 500 company and Director of Business Development roles across the region.

Forrest holds an International Baccalaureate with a focus on Chinese studies, pursued advanced language and business studies at the prestigious Nanjing University/Johns Hopkins Center, and holds an undergraduate degree from Georgia Tech. He is based in Mexico and leads Kineon's global mission to make clinical-grade photobiomodulation accessible for everyday pain and recovery.
